Wash the Red barley and then soak in water for 2-4 hours, while soaking you may use your fingers to pinch the center of the red barley and cook the red barley in the soaking water for 30 minutes. After cooking, close the lid for 5-10 minutes then you can proceed to eat. You may add seasonings depending on individual taste.

These Red barley were produced by grain farmers guided by the Farmers’ Association in Puzi City, Chiayi County in Taiwan. Chiayi County is a major producer of secondary grains in Taiwan. Under the guidance of the Farmers’ Association, farmers in Chiayi County are currently producing organic Red barley on a total of 20 hectares. They continue learning to grow organic produce which is not only a good exercise but also gives blessings to the earth.
